Accreditation in America is obtained by schools joining private accreditation associations. The U.S. government is forbidden from accreditation schools or accreditation associations. This was further reaffirmed when in 1985 several private school accreditation organizations worked with the U.S. department of education’s office of private education in seeking recognition of their accreditation programs.

Their department’s general counsel ruled that their was no statutory authority for the U.S. department of education to recognize any accreditation agencies.

Therefore, this university has not applied for and is not accredited by an accreditation agency or association recognized by the U.S. commission on education.

United States International University has became a member of the American International Accreditation Association and has been awarded the status of full accreditation by this accreditation association, and this association does not discriminate against individuals based on race, religion, or national origin.

Nondiscrimination is consistent with the principles and practices of this university and is in compliance with regulation of the Internal Revenue Service Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 and regulations adopted pursuant thereto, by Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended.
